This apartment project was a mix of new and old on a sloped site in SE Portland. Half of an existing four-plex was refurbished while three new buildings were added to the site with a wide range of unit types. Surface parking and private garages are also included on-site. The four buildings center around a common courtyard with a fire pit, grill and bike repair station. The units are laid out so that there is no common interior circulation which allows for less maintenance for the owner and each unit has a better sense of place with its own front door.
